The garden is inspired by the Victorian greenhouses built throughout England during the 19th century. More than simple architectural features, these glasshouses served as remarkable devices that enabled exotic plants from distant continents to be cultivated, studied, and admired in climates where they would not naturally survive.

The garden is inspired by the Victorian greenhouses built throughout England during the 19th century. More than simple architectural features, these glasshouses served as remarkable devices that enabled exotic plants from distant continents to be cultivated, studied, and admired in climates where they would not naturally survive.
They became gateways through time and space, bringing together botanical discovery, scientific research, and aesthetic pleasure.
This project reinterprets the Victorian greenhouse as a garden element to be rediscovered for its ability to create unique and immersive atmospheres.
Inside the greenhouse, lush planting beds are filled with unusual tropical species, including Dicksonia antarctica, hanging orchids in a variety of colours, and an abundance of ferns.
The composition evokes a luxuriant yet carefully curated landscape, inviting visitors to pause, close their eyes, breathe in the scent of greenery, and listen to the gentle sounds of birds from the adjoining aviary. The greenhouse becomes a vessel for a journey through time.
The interior has been carefully designed to immerse visitors in the Victorian era. Details such as period newspapers resting on a bistro table, a Victorian urn overflowing with cascading orchids, and a ceramic teapot complete the scene, reinforcing the sense of stepping into another age.
In contrast, the exterior presents the appearance of a contemporary English garden. Soft evergreen mounds and mature multi-stem trees create a layered composition of greenery at varying heights.

Feature lighting highlights the elegant umbrella-shaped trees that define the outdoor dining area, while subtle illumination accentuates the planting beds, sculptural forms, and contemporary stone steps, extending the enjoyment of the garden well into the evening.
