CASTEL BRICON
A meticulous restoration has transformed this historic farmhouse into an elegant retreat comprising thirteen holiday apartments and a collection of private guest rooms.
The project celebrates the character of the original architecture, preserving authentic materials, including the distinctive pink stone of the Berici Hills, while carefully enhancing the building with contemporary interventions.
The planting palette was conceived to be both elegant and low maintenance, drawing inspiration from the local landscape. Mediterranean species - including olive trees, lavender, Teucrium, and ornamental grasses - create a restrained yet richly textured composition.
The landscape has been designed as a series of terraces that gently follow the site's natural topography. At the highest level, an infinity pool enjoys uninterrupted views across the estate's vineyards, establishing a seamless dialogue between the architecture and the surrounding countryside.
The grasses seasonal movement and subtle variations in colour allow the garden to blend harmoniously with its rural setting, reinforcing the site's strong sense of place.
The interior design of both the guest rooms and holiday apartments strikes a refined balance between heritage and modernity. Clean-lined, minimalist furnishings are thoughtfully juxtaposed against exposed stone walls and original architectural details, creating spaces that feel both timeless and contemporary.
